Job Description
Mission:
- To ensure proper accountabilities for all MTNN payables, with strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and MTN accounting standards
Description:
- Review all supplier invoices and GRNs for accuracy and compliance with set accounting standards.
- Prepare and analyze the aging of payable accounts.
- Ensure supporting documents and backup schedules meet audit and regulatory requirements.
- Provide the tax unit with a detailed analysis of disposed assets for capital gains tax purposes and deferred tax reversal.
- Process account payables and supplier invoices.
- Analyze vendor sub-ledgers.
- Compute withholding tax deductions on vendors’ payments.
- Analyze withholding tax (WHT) deductions for remittance.
- Analyze purchase orders received but not yet invoiced.
- Ensure accurate receipt of purchase orders on Oracle by user departments.
- Manage vendor relationships (including responses to queries).
Education:
- First degree in any related discipline
- Fluent in English
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, CPA,ACCA) would be an added advantage.
