About BUA Food Plc
BUA Foods Plc is a major Nigerian food and FMCG (Fast‑Moving Consumer Goods) company, known for producing, processing, and distributing a wide array of essential food items. The company’s operations are organized into five core divisions: Sugar, Flour, Pasta, Rice, and Edible Oils.
BUA Foods emerged in November 2021 following a restructuring of its predecessor companies under a scheme provided by the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA). This consolidation brought together various entities — including sugar refineries, flour mills, rice and oil mills — under one umbrella.
The company was converted into a public limited liability company and listed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) in January 2022, trading under the ticker symbol “BUAFOODS.”
